Celebrating Eleven Years in Business

This year, Touché Financial Solutions celebrates eleven years in business. Eleven years of managing full accounting structures, delivering CFO-level strategy, and helping business owners feel more at peace with their numbers.
We've been thinking a lot about the last eleven years. Most of what comes to mind is people, especially the clients who trusted us early and sent their friends our way. Before we get to the thank-yous, here's a little perspective on how rare eleven years is.
How Rare Eleven Years Is
The Bureau of Labor Statistics follows every private business location from the day it opens. Here's what happened to the ones that opened in the year ending March 2015, right around when Touché got started:
• 79.6% were still operating after one year, meaning about one in five closed in year one. • 50.2% were still operating after five years. • 34.7% were still operating after ten years.
About two out of three businesses from that group didn't make it to year ten. That's typical, too. The ten-year survival rate has stayed between roughly 32% and 35% for every group the BLS has tracked since 1994.
So yes, we're proud to still be here in year eleven. We also know exactly who got us here.
How We Got Here
Eleven years covers a lot of ground. We've worked through economic swings, a pandemic, tax law changes, and software that changed how businesses run their finances almost overnight.
What kept us steady was pretty simple. We showed up the same way every month, with reports our clients could rely on. We got to know the people behind the businesses, and many of them have been with us for years. Once you know a client's goals and their slow months, the strategic advice gets a lot sharper. And we answered every question, including the ones people were a little nervous to ask.
Why Customer Service Matters So Much
There's research behind this. Bain & Company found that raising customer retention by just 5% can increase profits anywhere from 25% to 95%. Other estimates put the cost of winning a new customer at 5 to 25 times the cost of keeping one.
We've watched that play out firsthand. Clients who stay give a firm like ours the steady base it needs to grow and take on bigger work.
In practice, good customer service at Touché looks like getting back to you quickly, since money worries get heavier the longer they sit. We explain your financials in plain language so you can use them to make decisions. We pay attention to how you're doing as a person, too. And when we say we'll do something, we do it.
Thank You to Our Clients
To every client who has trusted Touché with their finances, thank you. You let us into the parts of your business most people never see. You told us about the good months and the stressful ones. You sent friends and colleagues our way, and you told us honestly when something could be better.
If you've been with us for years, thank you for sticking around. If you're newer, we're really glad you picked us.
Of everything these eleven years gave us, your trust is what we're proudest of.
Looking Ahead
Heading into year twelve, we're still focused on managing the full accounting structure for our clients and providing CFO-level planning. We also continue to grow our community through our newsletter.
If we've been part of your story, we'd love to hear about it. Tell us about a favorite memory or a win we helped with. And if you're ready for more support on the financial side of your business, reach out and let's talk.
Thank you for eleven good years.
