Full Job Description

Client Service Specialist


CSS candidates must have a basic accounting background and be fluent in QuickBooks.


Job Type: Part-time with potential for Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour based on experience


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Tues, Wed, Thurs


COVID-19 considerations:
We are not currently taking client meetings in the office. All client meetings are virtual until further notice. 


Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • QuickBooks: 2 years (Required)
  • Bookkeeping: 1 year (Preferred)


Language:

  • English required, additional languages are a plus. 

Work Location:

  • One location


Hours per week:

  • 15


Typical start time:

  • 9AM

Typical end time:

  • 2PM


Additional Qualifications are:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated ability to provide detailed level bookkeeping support – accounts payable, accounts receivable, closing books on a monthly basis and preparing financial reporting and analysis for small businesses.
  • 1+ years of transactional accounting experience using QuickBooks for/in a professional organization.
  • Capacity and commitment to work 15 hours a week during traditional daytime business hours supporting clients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Willingness to consistently and accurately follow established policies and procedures.
  • A passion for and sense of personal satisfaction in delighting clients and helping small businesses succeed.
  • Confidence in learning and embracing new technology to solve client issues.
  • Experience in developing strong remote team relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and sharing of best practices.
  • Commitment to maintain the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data.
  • A dedicated office space that has a reliable, high-speed internet connection.

Phones:

  1. Takes all incoming calls and routes calls to staff when needed.
  2. Checks voicemail, records notes from voicemail and communicates with the person who the communication was meant for.
  3. Calls out to clients when needed. 
  4. Confirms appointments
  5. Assists marketing in event management. 

Other Client Driven Tasks:

  1. Sends out business cards to clients quarterly.
  2. Helps coordinate Christmas cards and gifts to clients.

Support:

  1. Keeps the office tidy and presentable for clients and guests.
  2. Supports accounting with data entry, such as entering values into spreadsheets and managing meeting notes and follow-up. 
  3. Manages office supply orders and keeps track of inventory. Under management of the Accounting Manager.

Work Remotely:

  • Sometimes
